First and foremost we would like to thank Larry Walker for serving the Longview area for as long as he did with the Stereo and Video Center that was located over on Gilmer Road. The two locations (one in Tyler and one in Longview) were partners at one point if the same name and logo similarity didn't give that away already. We appreciate the opportunity to pull them both back under one owner and umbrella!
So what does the new Stereo and Video Center offer? Well, everything we've been offering for years in Tyler. We're a Platinum Dealer for Control4 Home Automation, we sell Sony/Samsung/LG televisions, high end 2-channel audio, surround sound, custom home theaters.. we pretty much do it all. On this page we will highlight a couple of things we are focusing on in the Longview area.
If you have not been happy with your current AV company or control system, we would be happy to come in and do an on-site evaluation of the system and your needs/wants. If it is a Control4 system this will cost you a $300 flat fee that needs to be paid before our consultant leaves for the evaluation. This is because Control4 systems take time for us to fully evaluate. We have to take photos, get our head programmer involved, make note of model numbers, etc.. Then we will send a proposal for the labor and equipment needed to take it over and bring the system up to our standard of quality. If you decide to move forward, we will credit that $300 towards one of our service plans.
Note that we understand there may be other types of automation in town such as Elan, Crestron, and Savant systems. We do not service these brands, but would be happy to switch you over to Control4 if you want to. The same fee will apply for an on-site evaluation of these other systems. Keep an open mind as well, we have been able to simplify overcomplicated systems for a lot of customers.
East Texas is growing by the hour, so another primary focus for us is new construction in Longview. We help design your home entertainment from the ground up in your new custom home. Preferably, we get involved before you've even broken ground or before sticks start to go up. The earlier the better so we can help fit things into whatever budget you're working with. We handle all of your low voltage wiring (coax, cat6, network drops, speaker wire, etc..) and will put together a detailed set of plans with locations and the layout of everything in the home. This will all be communicated between us and the builder or their PM in order to make sure everyone is on the same page from start to finish.
As we get closer to move in time, we will get equipment ordered in order to make sure everything is staged and ready to go. Once the house is clean and move in ready, we will set a day/s for installation to start until it is complete. We try to be as turnkey as possible, in and out, so you can start enjoying your new home!
We KNOW there are a lot of homes in desperate need up an AV upgrade. The photo above was a system that ran the customer's entire whole house audio. Every bit of it was manual, no wireless control. We took the whole rack out, relocated wires, re-labeled every speaker wire, used a small wall mounted rack and upgraded their house to a Sonos ecosystem with different zones of wireless control. Here are a few examples of that may pertain to you!
As of right now, these are the areas we are going to focus on. That doesn't mean that we can't do everything else like sell you a new TV and come mount it, we would be happy to. Our handicap at the moment is that our location at 101 West Hawkins Parkway Suite #1 is not a big showroom where we can show off different models of TVs, speakers, and other equipment. It is more focused on 1v1 sit downs and discussions to go over construction plans and formal introductions. Of course we will have a few things to show people but it is not what you would consider a walk-in retail storefront with a warehouse for inventory like the other Stereo and Video Center on Gilmer Road was. It is not a walk in, buy a TV and we come mount it same day kind of deal. So please be patient with us as we fine tune the logistics. We want to help everyone we can.
