It was an absolute pleasure working with Angie Reed's Construction & Design on this project. The end result is always worth the effort we put into helping our customers achieve their home entertainment desires and dreams. Everything for the audio and video was designed before the foundation was even poured, and we make sure to help our customers every step of the way.
This custom theater room turned out amazing. It is a full 7.2.4 surround sound with Dolby Atmos. We used Origin Acoustics D85 directional in-ceiling speakers for the Atmos and their LCR67 in-wall speakers for the surround. At the front of the room we have a 130" Screen Innovations 5-Series screen which is acoustically transparent so the front speakers are hidden behind the material. The projector is a Sony VPLVW325ES with native 4k UHD resolution which delivers an impressive picture. For the low end we positioned two SVS PB-3000 subwoofers at the back of the room, both with 800 watts of continuous power for a combined 1600 RMS worth of bass in this room. Last but not least, all of the audio and video processing is being handled by a Marantz 8015 11.2 channel AV receiver. Control of this room, as well as all of the AV in this home, is provided by our Control4 home automation.
The living room of this home is simple, yet extremely effective for both TV and music. Above the fireplace we have a 65" Samsung QLED and an Origin Acoustics SB3 passive soundbar for a center channel. In the ceiling, we have four Origin Acoustics D81 series speakers for a combined five speaker surround sound. Using 8 inch in ceilings gave this room enough depth of sound to not have to worry about adding a subwoofer. Especially when their main movie watching area would be the theater room.
Another highlight of this installation is the Game Room! This is a dream setup for anyone into sports!
Now a days most people have made the move to cut the cord and only stream their content. Behind each TV we have an Apple TV for better processing and speed when using smart apps. Using our Control4 automation, all control is down to one remote which can work each TV individually. In the ceiling we have four Origin Acoustics D81 series speakers which will play the TV audio from the bigger TV in the center (or music, of course). This way you can put your primary game on the center TV to catch all the action through the speakers, and secondary games to the left and right to run silently.
Last but not least, if aesthetics are important to you then you'll love this setup.
This formal living room needed some audio for ambience when entertaining. The problem is, when you're dealing with really high ceilings it can make normal in-ceiling speakers sound horrible. These speakers are the perfect solution for this scenario or any situation where customers don't want to SEE any speakers in room. During construction we run the speaker wire and install the back boxes. Then right after drywall we come in and install the speakers so they can be mudded over. Once the mud is dry you can paint, wall paper, whatever you'd like to do (just don't hang pictures over them LOL). They are designed to disperse the sound evenly throughout a room instead of being directional, so they sound wonderful and you don't even know they are there!
